Emma came to us from an abusive family situation. The day she arrived, she was wearing a "lucky necklace." She told us it was lucky because it brought her here. She has now graduated high school and is doing very well.

Directions to our three tour locations are below:
236 Barium Springs Drive, Statesville, NC 28677
Take I-77 North to exit 42. Turn LEFT at the bottom of the ramp onto Highway 21 (northbound). Continue for approximately 3-4 miles through Troutman until you enter the town of Barium Springs. Turn LEFT onto Burroughs Lane. Turn LEFT at the stop sign (onto Barium Springs Drive) and continue forward to the Family and Child Development Center (FCDC) parking lot.
Take I-77 South to exit 45. Turn RIGHT onto Amity Hill Road. Continue approximately 1/8 mile and take LEFT onto Murdock Road. Continue approximately 3 miles. At first stoplight, turn RIGHT onto Hwy 21. Continue on Hwy 21 for approximately 1/4 mile. Turn LEFT onto Burroughs Lane. Turn LEFT at the stop sign (onto Barium Springs Drive) and continue forward to the Family and Child Development Center (FCDC) parking lot.
507 Courthouse Drive, Wilkesboro, NC 28697
From 421 North (coming from Winston Salem/1-40/or Statesville I-77):
Take Exit 285 toward Brushy Mtn Road/Wilkesboro. Off of the exit ramp, take a right onto Brushy Mountain Road. After about ¼ mile, take your first left onto Call Street, then your first right onto Courthouse Drive. Kulynych Family Life Center is immediately on your left across from the Wilkes County Courthouse.
From 421 South (Boone):
Take Exit 285 toward Brushy Mtn Road/Wilkesboro. At the top of the ramp, turn left at the light. After about ½ mile, take your first left onto Call Street, then your first right onto Courthouse Drive. Kulynych Family Life Center is immediately on your left across from the Wilkes County Courthouse.

From I-40 West (Hickory/Statesville, NC):
Take Exit 105 (NC-18) toward Morganton Downtown/Shelby. Turn right onto S Sterling Street, continuing on NC-18 North for about 2.3 miles. Turn right onto E Meeting Street then take 1st left onto Bouchelle Street (if you reach White Street, you've gone a little too far). Turn Right onto Avery Avenue and destination will be on the left.
From I-40 East (Asheville, NC):
Take exit 103 toward Morganton/Rutherfordton. Turn left onto US-64/Burkemont Aveune. Turn Right onto US-70. Turn slight left onto S Sterling Street, continuing on NC-18 North. Turn right onto E Meeting Street then take 1st left onto Bouchelle Street (if you reach White Street, you've gone a little too far). Turn right onto Avery Avenue and destination will be on the left.

Take US 23 S/74 W to Exit 72, bare to the right and take road to 19a turn right, crossing bridge. Turn left onto US 19 S. Take US 19 S 2.7 miles, bare right onto Patterson Avenue. Follow Patterson to the left. House is blue with parking on the right by the basketball goal.
From Franklin Area:
Take US 23 N/74W to Exit 72, bare to the right and take road to 19a turn right, crossing bridge. Turn left onto US 19 S. Take US 19 S 2.7 miles, bare right onto Patterson Avenue. Follow Patterson to the left. House is blue with parking on the right by the basketball goal.
