He was a medically fragile one-year old diagnosed with cerebral palsy. On his birth certificate under his father's name it simply said, "Name Refused." Lucas has since been taken in by his father (who had never been told he had a son) and his loving family. He is doing exceptionally well and his health concerns have dramatically decreased.

At Barium Springs, we work hard to help as many children and families as we can. Last year we cared for 1,927 children. This year, we served 2,995. Due to huge growth in our agency, we cared for 55% more than last year!
