Preschool Day Treatment
Does your child struggle with mood swings?  An inability to focus?  Anger?  Depression?  Compulsive behaviors?  Or other issues?  We can help!

About the Program
Children are all different!  And, those differences can make raising a child exciting.  But, what happens when a child's differences are extreme and creates issues with the family?  What happens when those differences prevent the child from being happy and successful in preschool or kindergarten?

Sudden mood swings, an inability to focus, anger, depression, compulsive behaviors, and attachment disorders are not problems that just affect adults. Children suffer from these and many other similar emotional or mental issues.

Our Preschool Day Treatment Program is available for children ages 3-5 years old.  Barium Springs Home for Children can help families of preschool age children find their way through emotional and mental disorders.

Individualized Care
Every child in the program has a personalized plan built around their strengths and needs.  The therapeutic classroom provides a rich learning environment that is filled with age-appropriate materials and equipment.

Lesson plans are designed to support the child's interests and develop their skills to help them achieve succuss in a standard preschool classroom or kindergarten.  Parent particiption in team meetings, classroom events and parent education opportunities are provided to offer support to the entire family.

Credentials/Qualifications
-Each classroom is staffed by skilled and qualified professionals.
-All qualified mental health professionals are required to have a bachelor's degree along with verifiable experience.
-Staff to child ratios remain low with only 6 children assigned to every staff member.
-Staff undergo extensive background and reference checks.
-Program is approved by the Department of Health and Human Services.

“ I like going to school here. They teach me lots of things, like how to write my name and sing my ABC's. I have lots of friends in my class and I love my teachers. They are very nice and show us how to paint and draw. They told me that I can go to Kindergarten soon and ride the school bus. ”
Janey, age 4
