There are several local grocery stores in North Carolina that will automatically donate a portion of your total grocery purchase to Barium Springs Home for Children. Directions for each program are listed below:

Food Lion Charitable Program: Food Lion Shop & Share
Try the new, easy-to-use Food Lion website at http://www.foodlion.com/! It will show you what to do. Most of all...don't be afraid to call and ask if you have questions. The Food Lion Customer Service Department phone number is 704-633-8250 extension 3810 (Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET), and of course, you can always give us a call here at Barium Springs Home for Children at 704-872-4157 or 1-800-320-4157!

Q: What is the Food Lion Shop & Share Program?
A:  When you shop at Food Lion and use your MVP card, a portion of your total grocery purchase will be donated to Barium Springs Home for Children.

Q: How do I sign up-or re-enroll?
A:  It's so easy! There are two ways that you can sign up or re-enroll yourself - or your church:

1. Online-go to the Food Lipn website-http://www.foodlion.com/- and click on the Food Lion Shop & Share link. Have your MVP card ready! You will be asked to enter your name, MVP number and the charity you wish to support. If using the internet to sign up to shop for Barium Springs Home for Children, you will be prompted to enter which state-(NC), city (Barium Springs), and charity to support(Barium Springs Home for Children) from the drop down list.

2. By phone- Call the Food Lion Customer Service Department at 704-633-8250 extension 3810 (Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET). You must re-enroll again before December 31st each year. If you have not re-enrolled your MVP card, please do so! Also, if your church will be enrolling as a not-for-profit organization, your church should re-enroll.


Harris Teeter Together in Education VIC Program
Please try the new, easy to use Harris Teeter website at http://www.harristeeter.com/! It will show you what to do. Most of all....don't be afraid to call and ask if you have questions. The Harris Teeter Customer Service Department phone number is 1-800-432-6111. Representatives are available from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday., and of course, you can always give us a call here at Barium Springs Home for Children at 704-872-4157 or 1-800-320-4157.

Q: What is the Harris Teeter Together in Education Program?
A:  When you shop at Harris Teeter and use your VIC card when purchasing select Harris Teeter private label products, Harris Teeter will contribute a portion of those sales to Barium Springs Home for Children.

3. In Person - The easiest way to enroll is to simply tell the cashier that you would like to link your VIC card to charity 5443.
